Nota para um poema português

No tempo que corre, é fácil pôr em relevo as dificuldades, os obstáculos e as incompreensões para nos remetermos ao fatalismo da injustiça económica e social e nos deixarmos paralisar na contemplação de “ lembradas glórias”.

Porém, o anuário que agora se publica é bem a demonstração de que o Instituto que foi criado há quase cem anos para o Estudo do Cancro, que desbravou caminhos na Medicina e na Assistência Pública, continua a singrar a rota da pesquisa e do conhecimento, sem esmorecer na criação de doutrina e de padrões que sirvam o aperfeiçoamento do Serviço Nacional de Saúde.

Ironizando o passadismo imobilista, os versos da professora Maria de Sousa, figura marcante da biomedicina, são, por isso, uma excelente introdução para o nosso anuário de 2013 e um encorajamento para tudo o que o Instituto tem para fazer.
