Objetivos de aprendizagem (conhecimentos, aptidões e competências)
1. Sensibilizar os alunos para os cuidados a observar no tratamento da informação emitida e preparada pelas instituições financeiras, conhecendo a estrutura, organização, competências e formas de desenvolvimento do negócio bancário.
2. Com o estudo dos métodos e aplicação das técnicas próprias da atividade bancária, pretende-se que adquiram conhecimentos e competências na gestão dos riscos operacionias e financeiros relacionados com a atividade.
3. Pretende-se finalmente que conheçam os pricípios sobre os quais se desenvolve a atividade em termos prudenciais e na forma como se aplica e reporta a informação aos Bancos Centrias e à Autoridade de Supervição Bancária Europeia.

Metodologias de ensino (avaliação incluída)
São privilegiadas metodologias que desenvolvam as capacidades analíticas dos alunos através da conjugação de aulas expositivas e de aulas práticas onde são estudadas e aplicadas as técnicas e métodos próprios das instituições financeiras.
O sistema de avaliação em regime de avaliação contínua inclui a elaboração de um relatório completo de análise económica e financeira de uma instituição financeira portuguesa ou estrangeira e terá um peso de 50% na avaliação final. Os restantes 50% serão afetos à realização de um teste individual. Para obterem aprovação, os alunos deverão ter uma classificação igual ou superior a 9,5 valores em cada um dos momentos de avaliação descritos.
Os alunos que não obtiverem aprovação na avaliação contínua e os que obtarem por não a fazer, serão sujeitos a uma prova de avaliação individual sobre a totalidade do programa e que valerá 100%.
Haverá ainda uma época de recurso para os alunos reprovados na época de avaliação normal.

The students intended learning outcomes (knowledge, skills and competences)
1. Raise students awareness of the care to be observed in the treatment of information issued and developed by financial institutions, knowing their structure, organization and form of development of financial business.
2. Study the methods and application of the techniques os the bank activity, acquire knowledge and skills in the management os financial and oiperational risk related to the activity.
3. Meet the main principles of development in prudential terms and the way they apply and report the information to central banks and banking supervisory authorities.

Teaching methodologies (including evaluation)
The methodologies will provide to achieve the students analytical abilities combining lectures and practical classes, studing the performance of financial institutions.
The evaluation system in continuous assessement, includes the preparation of a report with economic and financial analysis on a portuguese or a foreign financial institution with 50% weight in the final grade. An individual test will weighting the remaining 50%. To obtain approval, students must have a grade equal or greater than 9.5/20 in both evaluation moments.Students who do not obtain approval on continuous assessment and who opte for not doing any evaluation moments, will be subject to an individual test on the entire topics of the syllabus.
