PAHO AWARD FOR ADMINISTRATION, 1979
During the sessions of the 82nd Meeting of the Executive Committee, held in Washington, D.C., from 25 June to 3 July 1979, the Award Committee of the PAHO Award for Administration, after reviewing the documentation submitted by Member Governments and recognizing that the work done by Mr. Antonio J. Sucre unquestionably constitutes a valuable contribution to the improvement of health services in Panama, recommended that the nomination of Mr. Sucre, presented by the Government of Panama in recognition of his participation in a "rural water supply program in Panama, with full com-munity participation," be deferred for consideration in conjunction with other nominations which may be received in 1980.
After hearing the presentation of the report of the Award Committee (Document CE82/5, ADD. I), the Executive Committee took note of the de-cision and adopted Resolution XX.
The following proposed resolution is presented for the consider-ation of the Directing Council:

Report of the Award Committee

The Award Committee met in the morning of Tuesday, 26 June, to consider the nominations entered by the Member Countries, for which purpose they also received detailed information on the work done by the Secretariat in accordance with the procedures laid down during the 80th Meeting of the Executive Committee.
During their first session they examined closely the criteria governing the Award and the single nomination put forward by the Government of Panama, the candidate for Costa Rica having been withdrawn, to be nominated again next year.
Upon deliberation, the Committee agreed to meet again in the afternoon of Thursday, 28 June. In that meeting the Committee came to the following decision:
