Editorial
Here we present the third issue of Audiology - Communication Research (ACR) with ten important contributions in various fields of Speech, Language and Hearing Science. In this issue, nine Original Articles and one Case Report are being published on fields like Language, Audiology, Myofunctional Therapy, Voice and Public Health.
The Language studies represent the larger contribution from this issue, with three Ori-ginal Articles and one Case Report. The first of them is entitled What are the best words to compose an evaluation phonological instrument?, from Savoldi, Ceron, Keske-Soares. The second one regards the Influence of phonological disorders on reading and writing disabilities and was written by Silva e Ávila. The last Original Article on Language field is entitled The use of severity measures and speech inconsistency in children with speech sound disorders from Pagan-Neves, Wertzner, Silva and Pereira. Finally, the Case Report,
written by Rizzon, Vidor and Cruz, concerns the Language evaluation in a case of
associa-tion between deafness and pachygyria.
The Audiology articles are two. The first of them, Hearing rehabilitation in children: adhesion to treatment and use of hearing aids, was written by Miguel and Novaes, and the second, Hearing habits and audiological evaluation in adults, by Hanazumi, Gil and Iório.
The studies from the Myofunctional Therapy field also contributed with two articles. The first one regarding Glottal competence in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease from the authors Cassiani, Aguiar-Ricz, Santos, Martinez and Dantas, and the second one regards the Temporal measurements of oral transit time in children with cerebral palsy of different levels motors andthe relationship with the severity of dysphagia written by Lustre, Freire and Silvério.
On Voice field we present one article, written by Karmann and Lancman, and entitled Teacher – work intensification and use of voice.
And on Public Health field we have the article concerning the Users’ satisfaction with a conversation circle program in the waiting room from Mandrá and Silveira.
Also in this issue, Beatriz Cavalcanti Caiuby Novaes, Maria Angelina Nardi Martinez and Adriane Mortari Moret, were invited to write an editorial about Profa. Dra. Maria Cecília Bevilacqua, who, for her whole professional life, tirelessly contributed with the development and growth of Brazilian Audiology, as well as with the implementation of public policies related to hearing health in our field.

pulations. The changes that are being implemented to our journal seeks its internationalization and equivalence to the best journals in the world. We are sure that this is a worthy investment and it will contribute to the development of Speech, Language and Hearing Science in Brazil.
