CD4.R5

COORDINATION OF REGIONAL PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES

THE 4th DIRECTING COUNCIL,

Considering that the General Assembly of the United Nations, in its Fourth Meeting, and the Third

World Health Assembly have considered the problem of coordination of international agencies; and

Considering that important steps have been taken within the United Nations and the Organization of

American States system and by the regional offices of WHO to bring about adequate coordination

of activities,

RESOLVES

1 . To recommend to the Member Countries to take, through their health authorities, such measures

within their respective governmental structures as may be necessary to facilitate the coordination of

2. Further, to recommend to the Member Countries that have not already done so [that they create]

within their respective health administrations a bureau or office entrusted with the coordination of

their international health relations.
