Os resultados obtidos no presente estudo permitem concluir que todas as restaurações foram consideradas clinicamente aceitáveis, e todos os pacientes mostraram-se inteiramente satisfeitos ou, ao menos, satisfeitos.
A restauração direta com resina composta é uma técnica segura para o fechamento de diastemas, demonstrando uma performance aceitável. No entanto, a técnica necessita de treinamento para desenvolvimento das habilidades e de um olhar mais crítico do operador.
Aspectos como integridade dental e resposta periodontal apresentaram-se 100% satisfatórias nesse estudo, não apresentando percentual de falha. Estabilidade de cor e translucidez e forma proximal foram os itens com maior percentual de falha nas restaurações avaliadas, obtendo 13,15% cada. Os itens brilho de superfície, manchamento superficial e marginal, forma anatômica, fratura e retenção e adaptação marginal obtiveram alto percentual de satisfação.
