Diante do exposto não foi possível afirmar que psicoterapia de base psicanalítica é mais eficaz que os cuidados de rotina para o tratamento da depressão pós-parto. Por fim, destaca-se no contexto da PBP a necessidade de que sejam realizados ensaios clínicos randomizados, que apresentem padrão ouro, para que seja possível a realização de metanálise com homogeneidade metodológica.
