6.3. DIREÇÕES FUTURAS

Estudar os niveis de atividade física e seus efeitos em mulheres pós-menopáusicas revela-se de extrema importância, uma vez que, as mulheres vivenciam mais de um terço da vida na pós-menopausa. Sugerem-se novas pesquisas que venham a confrontar os níveis de atividade física encontrados no presente estudo com outros tipos de intervenções e com a utilização de métodos mais objetivos para medir os níveis de atividade física. Observa-se

também a necessidade de mais estudos visando demonstrar os efeitos dos níveis de atividade física e da terapia hormonal nas variáveis da composição corporal, considerando-se o início da implementação da TH e o tempo de utilização da mesma. Realçamos também a importância se serem utilizados métodos mais precisos de avaliação da compoisção corporal d amulher, nomeadamente no que diz respeito à adiposidade intra-abdominal.

Esperamos continuar a contribuir com pesquisas que venham a demonstrar a quantidade de atividade física necessária para prevenção do excesso de gordura visceral, massa de gordura total e a preservação dos componentes da massa magra em mulheres na pós-menopausa.
