wasstronglyadvisedtoweargloveswhenhandlinghisani- malsandpracticeproperhand hygiene.Orf(orContagious Ecthyma)isazoonoticdisease,causedbyaparapoxvirusand mainlyaffectssheepandgoats,1butitcanbetransmittedto humansthroughdirectcontactwithinfectedanimals.2Itis generallyconsideredasaself-limitedclinicalentity.However, successfultreatmentofcomplicatedcaseswithtopicaluse ofimiquimod3orcidofovircream4hasbeendescribedinthe literature.
