wasstronglyadvisedtoweargloveswhenhandlinghisani- malsandpracticeproperhand hygiene.Orf(orContagious Ecthyma)isazoonoticdisease,causedbyaparapoxvirusand mainlyaffectssheepandgoats,¹butitcanbetransmittedto humansthroughdirectcontactwithinfectedanimals.²Itis generallyconsideredasaself-limitedclinicalentity.However, successfultreatmentofcomplicatedcaseswithtopicaluse ofimiquimod³orcidofovircream⁴hasbeendescribedinthe literature.
