RESOLUTION

CD14.R12

REQUEST OF THE GOVERNMENT OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO

FOR MEMBERSHIP IN THE PAHO

THE 14th DIRECTING COUNCIL,

Having [noted] the formal request 1 for membership in the Pan American Health Organization

made by the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago on behalf of his Government on 21 December

1962;

[Bearing in mind] that this request has been communicated by the Director of the Pan American

Sanitary Bureau to the Governments of the Pan American Health Organization;

Considering that the Government of Trinidad and Tobago has declared that it is willing to assume

all the obligations imposed by the Constitution of the Pan American Health Organization and to

comply with the provisions of the Pan American Sanitary Code as amended by the Additional

Protocol of 24 September 1952, as well as to contribute by means of a quota assessment to the

financial support of the Organization; and

Having regard to [the provisions of] Article 2 of the Constitution of the Pan American Health

RESOLVES

1. To approve the application made by Trinidad and Tobago for membership in the Pan American

Health Organization.
