RESOLUTION

CD25.R3

REQUEST OF THE GOVERNMENT OF GRENADA FOR

MEMBERSHIP IN THE PAHO

THE 25th DIRECTING COUNCIL,

Having examined the formal request for membership in the Pan American Health Organization

made on behalf of the Government of Grenada by the Ministry of External Affairs and the

Ambassador, Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States, in a

communication dated 23 September 1977; and

Considering that the Government of Grenada has declared its readiness to accept all the obligations

imposed by the Constitution of the Pan American Health Organization, to comply with the

provisions of the Pan American Sanitary Code, as amended by the Additional Protocol of 24

September 1952, and to contribute by means of a quota assessment to the financial support of the

Organization,

1. To approve with satisfaction the request by the Government of Grenada for membership in the

Pan American Health Organization.

2. To instruct the Director to transmit this decision to the Member Governments of the

Organization.
