RESOLUTION

CD28.R2

ADMISSION OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF DOMINICA IN THE

PAHO

THE 28th DIRECTING COUNCIL,

Having examined the formal request for membership in the Pan American Health Organization

made on behalf of the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica by the Prime Minister

(Minister of External Affairs), in a communication dated 14 May 1981; and

Considering that the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica has declared its readiness to

accept all the obligations established in the Constitution of the Pan American Health Organization

to comply with the provisions of the Pan American Sanitary Code, as amended by the Additional

Protocol of 24 September 1952, and to contribute by means of a specified quota assessment to the

financial support of the Organization,

RESOLVES

1. To approve with satisfaction the request of the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica

for membership in the Pan American Health Organization.

2. To instruct the Director to transmit this decision to the Member Governments of the

Organization.
