Resumo

As tecnologias da informação e da comunicação (TIC) trouxeram novas dimensões para o contexto educativo. A procura de estratégias que levem a mais e melhor aprendizagem constituem desafios de educadores, professores e investigadores. Assim, das muitas tecnologias que podem ser utilizadas no contexto educativo, será dada, neste reflexão, particular ênfase à utilização de fóruns de discussão no contexto real de ensino e aprendizagem, através de uma experiência de ensino, com alunos do 9.º ano de escolaridade, na disciplina de Geografia. Neste sentido, foram apreciadas as interações desenvolvidas nos fóruns de discussão, criados no contexto desta disciplina, através da metodologia de análise de redes sociais. Para efetuar a análise sociométrica dos fóruns de discussão, fez-se análise de conteúdo utilizando o software Weft-QDA. Avaliou-se o nível de satisfação dos alunos na utilização dos fóruns de discussão, utilizando um questionário construído para o efeito. Da análise das interações verificou-se um elevado nível de centralidade em torno do professor, assim como interação muito reduzida entre os colegas. As mensagens foram categorizadas em sete categorias, sendo as mais representativas: Informação, Explicação e Local de pesquisa. O nível de satisfação, de acordo com as respostas dadas ao questionário, foi bastante elevado. Palavras-chave: fórum de discussão, interação, nível de satisfação

Abstract

The information and communication technologies (ICT) have brought new dimensions to the educational context. The search for strategies that lead to more and better learning are challenges for educators, teachers and researchers. Therefore, among several technologies that can be used in an educational context, this reflection will give particular emphasis on the use of discussion forums in the real context of teaching and learning, through a teaching experience with students in the ninth grade, in the subject of Geography. In this sense the interactions developed in the discussion forums, created within this discipline were considered, through the methodology of social network analysis. To make the sociometric analysis of discussion forums, a content analysis was done using the software Weft-QDA. We evaluated the level of students satisfaction in the use of discussion boards, using a questionnaire constructed for this purpose. From the analysis of interactions there was a high level of centrality around the teacher, as well as greatly reduced interaction between colleagues. The messages were categorized into seven categories and the most representative are: Information, Explanation and Location of search. The level of satisfaction according to the replies to the questionnaire was quite high.
