THE 9th DIRECTING COUNCIL,
RESOLVES
To express its appreciation:
1. To His Excellency the President of the Republic of Guatemala, Colonel Carlos Castillo
Armas, for the generous hospitality and the courtesies that his country has extended to the
Organization, all of which have contributed to the success of the Council's activities;
2. To the Minister of Public Health and Welfare, Dr. Carlos Soza Barillas, and to the
Commission that under his direction, so successfully carried out its activities with respect to the
preparation and conduct of the meeting ;
3. To the Governor of the Department of Sacatepéquez, Colonel José Arturo Lima, and the
Mayor of Antigua Guatemala, Don José Luis Moreira Latour, for the many courtesies extended to
