In the Human Resources & Organizations area, there are two papers. The first is Cultural intelligence, cross-cultural adaptation and expatriateperformance: a study with expatri-ateslivinginBrazil,byInáciaMariaNunes,BrunoFelixand LoreneAlexandrePrates.Theauthorsinvestigatethe relation-shipbetweenculturalintelligence,cross-culturaladaptationand expatriatesperformance,throughasurveywith217expatriates livinginBrazil,comingfrom26countries.

The employees’ perception at a Brazilian publicuniversity,byGuilhermeBuschRocha,ClaudiaSouza PassadorandGilbertoTadeuShinyashiki.Theresearchisalso quantitative,withasurveyof422employees,andinvestigates theelementsthatinfluencetheemployees’perceptionofsocial gainwithin anorganization that has adoptedthe competency managementmodel.
