I.4.4.12 Análise Estatística

Todos os valores nas figuras e no texto são expressos como média  desvio padrão da média das n observações (standard error of the mean). Para os estudo in vitro as tabelas são representativas de pelo menos três experiências realizadas em diferentes condições experimentais. No ensaio do ácido acético, os resultados foram analizados pelo método one-way ANOVA seguido pelo teste t de Dunnet para comparações múltiplas; as diferenças entre os valores do teste e os valores de controle foram considerados estatisticamente significativos quando p0,05. No ensaio edema de pata induzido por carragenina, as diferenças entre os valores do teste e os valores de controle foram considerados estatisticamente significativos quando p0,05.*p0,0, **p0,01 e ***p0,001 de acordo com o teste de Duncan.

Nos ensaios in vitro (actividade da SIRT1 e produção de TNF-) foram considerados significativos valores de p inferiores a 0,05 e as médias dos grupos individuais foram comparadas com o teste t de Student.
