De acordo com os resultados apresentados, os objetivos foram cumpridos. A seguir será apresentada a conclusão com relação a cada hipótese levantada:

Conforme tabela 24, a hipótese 1 “mulheres no CGP que apresentam elevação do neuroticismo expressam mais sintomas de ansiedade”, não foi confirmada. As participantes do GC apresentaram ansiedade, tanto em traço quanto em estado, mais elevada do que as participantes do GE.
Quanto a hipótese 2, “Mulheres no CGP apresentam elevação do neuroticismo expressam mais presença de depressão”, foi confirmada (Tabela 24). As mães do GE apresentaram mais presença de depressão do que as mães do GC.
No que diz respeito a hipótese 3, “Mulheres no CGP apresentam elevação do neuroticismo expressam mais estresse percebido”, foi confirmada (Tabela 24). As mulheres do GE obtiveram resultados mais elevados quanto a percepção de estresse.
Com relação a hipótese 4, “Mulheres no CGP apresentam elevação do neuroticismo expressam o tipo de vinculação ansioso”, foi confirmada (Tabela 24). As participantes do GE apresentaram mais presença de vínculo ansioso do que as participantes do GC.
Já a hipótese 5, “A elevação do neuroticismo associa-se a prejuízos no desenvolvimento do vínculo mãe-bebê”, não foi confirmada (Tabela 24). Não houve diferença
significativa entre os grupos quanto ao apego materno-fetal e a percepção vincular materna com relação aos níveis de neuroticismo.
Com base nos resultados das hipóteses, podemos concluir que as mulheres do GE com presença alta ou muito alta de neuroticismo no CGP, apresentaram prejuízos quanto a presença de depressão, de estresse percebido, transtorno mentais e tipo de vinculação, embora tenham apresentado tais prejuízos, o que indica mais sofrimento psíquico, estes prejuízos não influenciaram no apego e na percepção do vínculo mãe-bebê.

De acordo com a Figura 3 as mulheres com neuroticismo alto e muito alto apresentaram mais desgaste, mais sofrimento, presença de depressão, alta percepção de estresse, presença de transtorno mental comum e vínculo ansioso, indicando que são mais reativas. Contundo, não apresentam prejuízos na percepção vincular e no apego mãe-bebê.
