Miguel Araújo é hoje considerado, um dos grandes nomes da música por- tuguesa, destacando-se como compositor, letrista, cantor e músico, sendo bem-sucedido em cada uma destas vertentes que compõe a sua multi- facetada e eclética carreira. São já muitas as canções da sua autoria, inter- pretadas por si e por outros (Azeitonas, dos quais faz parte, António Zam- bujo, Ana Moura, Carminho, etc.), que fazem parte do espólio das grandes músicas populares portuguesas dos últimos anos: “Os maridos das outras”,

“Quem és tu miúda”, “Anda comigo ver os aviões”, “Ray-dee-oh”, “Reader’s Digest”, “O que é feito dela?”, “O Pica do 7”, “E tu gostavas de mim”, “Ventura”

ou “Fado dançado”, entre muitas outras.

Miguel Araújo is considered one of the greatest of today’s Portuguese music. A composer, lyricist, singer and musician, he has found success in each of these elements of his versatile, eclectic career. Many are the songs penned by Araújo – sung by him and other artists (such as Azeitonas, of which he is a member, António Zambujo, Ana Moura, Carminho, etc.) – which now belong to the collection of the greatest Portuguese pop songs in recent years: ‘Os maridos das outras’, ‘Quem és tu miúda’, ‘Anda comigo ver os aviões’, ‘Ray-dee-oh’, ‘Reader’s Digest’, ‘O que é feito dela?’, ‘O Pica do 7’, ‘E tu gostavas de mim’, ‘Ventura’ ou ‘Fado dançado’, and many more.

Closes on Sundays and Public Holidays O virar da Página” é um documentário fotográfico produzido em Portugal, sobre a transformação de pessoas que sofreram de crimes violentos, feito em parceria com a Associação Portuguesa de Apoio à Vítima (APAV). Estas pessoas, lutando contra a sua própria vergonha, medo e vulnerabilidade, pediram ajuda à APAV e aceitaram agora expor as suas histórias pessoais, com o principal objetivo de alertar a sociedade para o fenómeno da violên- cia e encorajar todos aqueles que são vítimas a reagirem à situação e a pro- curarem apoio.

“O Virar da Página” (“Turning the Page”) is a photographic documentary produced in Portugal in partnership with the Portuguese Victim Support Association, APAV. The documentary highlights the way in which various victims of violent crimes have managed to turn the page. Battling against their shame, fear and vulnerability, these people asked APAV for help and have now agreed to tell their personal stories. The aim is mainly to draw society’s attention to the phenomenon of violence and encourage all those who are victims to react to the situation and seek support.

Terra Chã’ (Flat Ground) arises from a contemporary approach to the musi- cal language of cante alentejo (Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity).

Florbela Espanca’s sonnets and cante alentejano songs give structure to the dramaturgical score of the bodies on stage.

The Fairs and Exhibitions Salon opens its doors to the São Martinho’s Fayre, the oldest event in Portimão, which dates back to 1662. A must-see attraction this autumn, where visitors can find the traditional stalls selling food and other produce, crockery, plastic items, toys, trinkets, footwear, and more. There is also an outdoor entertainment area.
