RESOLUTION

CD33.R21

PAN AMERICAN HEALTH ORGANIZATION FLAG

THE 33rd DIRECTING COUNCIL,

Having considered Document CD33/4 and Resolution XIII of the 101st Meeting of the Executive Committee; and

Believing it desirable to adopt an official flag for the Pan American Health Organization, to be flown on the premises of the Organization and to be displayed elsewhere on ceremonial and other appropriate occasions,

RESOLVES

1. To adopt and approve as the official flag of the Pan American Health Organization the design described in Document CD33/4.

2. To request the Director to adopt a flag code and to draw up regulations concerning the use of the flag and the protection of its dignity, and taking into account the relationship between the Pan American Health Organization and the World Health Organization.
