RESOLUTION

CD19.R38

WITHIN-COUNTRY FELLOWSHIPS

THE 19th DIRECTING COUNCIL,

Having considered Document CD19/15 containing proposed criteria for the award of

within-country fellowships;

Considering that this program must be carried out gradually and be sufficiently flexible to allow

desirable changes to be introduced into it; and

Considering Resolution XXIII approved by the Executive Committee at its 61st Meeting.

RESOLVES

1. To approve provisionally the proposed criteria for the award of within-country fellowships,

taking into account the discussion at the XIX Meeting of the Directing Council.

2. To request the Director to submit a report to the Directing Council on the program after it has

been in operation for one year in order to ascertain whether or not it is necessary to modify the

criteria.

3. To request the Director to inform the Governments of the proposed criteria for the award of

within-country fellowships.
