Caros Paroquianos de Santo Cristo: Em primeiro lugar, gostaria de agradecer a todos vós por sua amizade e apoio durante estes dois meses passados. Sendo isto a minha primeira vez a viver numa paróquia, eu cheguei um pouco ansioso, não sabendo totalmente o que esperar, mas fui recebido por uma bela comunidade paroquial que me cumprimentou com bondade, generosidade e amor. No tempo que passei aqui, cresci em meu próprio discernimento e ganhei um grande amor pela vida paroquial. Foi uma honra estar aqui com todos vós sobre a proteção do Senhor Santo Cristo dos Milagres, a quem sempre tive uma grande devoção. Que Ele abençoe e guarde a todos vós.
Peço apenas as vossas orações para mim quando eu começar os meus estudos no Seminário de São João em Boston no fim deste mês e continuar o meu caminho ao altar de nosso Senhor.

This weekend is our seminarian’s last weekend with us here at Santo Christo Parish. I asked Lucas da Costa to write something as a farewell message. He writes:
Dear Parishioners of Santo Christo: I would first like to thank you all for your kindness and support during these past two months.
With this being my first summer assignment, I came with some nerves not knowing fully what to expect, but I was met with a beautiful parish community who greeted me with kindness and generosity. In my time here I grew in my own discernment and gained a great love for parish life. It was an honor for me to be here with all of you under the protection of Senhor Santo Cristo dos Milagres who I have always had a strong devotion to. May He bless and keep you all. I just ask that all of you pray for me as I start the year at St. John's Seminary at the end of the month and continue my journey to the altar of our Lord. Be assured of my own prayers for each and every one of you.

QUO VADIS DAYS 2021
Quo Vadis is an initiative of the Fall River Diocesan Office of Voca- tions, for young men ages 14-18. It will give you an opportunity to deepen your faith, learn how to discern your vocation, and grow in greater fraternity with other young men from our Diocese. CATHOLIC YOUTH DAY
On Saturday, August 14, the Diocese is sponsoring a day-long event for young people with Bishop daCunha on Martha’s Vineyard. The day is free for participants and includes bus transportation, ferry ride to Oak Bluffs, lunch, opportunity to visit shops, activities, talks, music, adoration and Mass with the Bishop. Bus pick-up at 9:30 AM, with attendees returning by 10 PM. To register, please contact Mr. Ozzie Pacheco.
