1. Foram propostas definições e metodologias para obtenção dos itens Nível de Satisfação, Capacidade Mastigatória, Eficiência Mastigatória e Performance Mastigatórias passíveis de serem realizadas, e com significado clínico e científico importantes para melhoria da qualidade dos tratamentos odontológicos oferecidos aos pacientes.
2. Nos pacientes portadores de próteses totais convencionais removíveis superior e inferior observou-se as seguintes medianas dos itens avaliados: Nível de Satisfação três (3), em uma escala de zero (0) a dez (10). Capacidade Mastigatória três (3), em uma escala de zero (0) a dez (10). Eficiência Mastigatória Ruim (EM Ruim). Performance Mastigatória Péssima (PM Péssima).
3. Quatro meses após os pacientes serem reabilitados com prótese fixa inferior sobre implantes, sob carga imediata, e prótese total convencional superior, observou-se as seguintes medianas dos itens avaliados: Nível de Satisfação dez (10), em uma escala de zero (0) a dez (10). Capacidade Mastigatória dez (10), em uma escala de zero (0) a dez (10). Eficiência Mastigatória Ótima (EM Ótima). Performance Mastigatória Regular (PM Regular).
4. Ocorreu melhora significativa do Nível de Satisfação, Capacidade Mastigatória, da Eficiência Mastigatória e Performance Mastigatórias em pacientes usuários de próteses totais removíveis superior e inferior, após serem reabilitados com prótese total fixa inferior sobre implantes, sob carga imediata.
5. Observou-se correlação significativa entre Nível de Satisfação e Capacidade Mastigatória em pacientes quando eram portadores de próteses totais removíveis convencionais superior e inferior, e após 4 meses da instalação da prótese total fixa inferior sobre implantes, sob carga imediata. Correlação significativa também foi observada entre Nível de Satisfação e Eficiência Mastigatória quando os pacientes eram portadores de próteses totais removíveis convencionais superior e inferior.
