Jorge Palma dispensa apresentações. Com mais de 40 anos de carreira é um nome incontornável do panorama musical português. Compositor, poeta, intérprete e exímio pianista, Jorge Palma começou a dar cartas logo cedo, quando aos 13 anos venceu o segundo prémio e uma menção honrosa num Concurso Internacional das Juventudes Musicais realizado em Palma de Maiorca.

Jorge Palma needs no introduction. His 40-year career has made him a household name in the Portuguese music scene.

A songwriter, a poet, a singer and an accomplished pianist, Jorge Palma excelled from the early age of 13 when he came second, and received an honourable mention, at the Interna- tional Musical Youths Contest held in Palma de Mallorca.

Em meados dos anos 60 do século passado, numa aldeia al- gures no Algarve litoral, quando aqui ainda eram pujantes a faina da pesca e a indústria da conserva de peixe e os homens e mulheres viviam do mar e para o mar, os turistas encetavam as primeiras incursões a um Algarve curioso.

In the mid 1960s, in a coastal village somewhere in the Al- garve, back when fishing and the canning industry thrived and men and women lived off the sea and for the sea, tourists were making their way into the Algarve for their first time.

Clara Andrade é licenciada em Filosofia e interessada pelas questões da estética e da arte. Frequentou o curso de pintura na Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes e o curso “Academia de Figura Humana”. Os seus trabalhos são o resultado de ensaios, experiência e saberes, conjugados com as sugestões oferecidas pelo mundo e pelos outros.

Clara Andrade holds a degree in philosophy and takes an interest in aesthetics and art. She completed the painting course from the National Society of Fine Arts and the course from the ‘Academy of Human Figure’. Her work results from tests, experiments and knowledge, combined with the sug- gestions given by the world and the others.

O VERÃO AZUL é um festival de cariz transdisciplinar dedi- cado à promoção e difusão da arte contemporânea na região do Barlavento Algarvio. Nesta edição o festival vai apresen- tar espetáculos de artes performativas, artes visuais, cinema, música e muita animação.

BLUE SUMMER is a transdisciplinary festival dedicated to pro- moting and advertising Contemporary art in the Western Algarve. This edition of the festival includes performing and visual arts, cinema, music and lots of entertainment.

De 4 de outubro a 15 de novembro não perca o Festival de Guitarra, que traz a Lagoa artistas internacionais com magní- ficos espetáculos onde a guitarra é a principal protagonista.

Don’t miss the Guitar Festival between the 4th October and the 15th February in Lagoa. There will be international artists performing magnificent shows, in which the guitar will take centre stage.

Aviso a todos os petiscadores: a Rota do Petisco volta às ruas de Portimão, Alvor e Ferragudo, e este ano também chega à Mexilhoeira Grande trazendo consigo o que a gastronomia algarvia tem de melhor. A Rota do Petisco propõe um roteiro gastronómico por vários estabelecimentos de restauração, os quais disponibilizam ementas especialmente confecionadas para o evento e vendidas a preços muito convidativos, nas mo- dalidades de Petisco (prato + bebida: 2,50 €) e Doce Regional (sobremesa + bebida: 2,00 €). Este ano a novidade é a oferta de uma Rota dos Pequeninos, onde à mesa dos restaurantes ade- rentes os mais novos vão poder encontrar um menu especial.

O Parque de Feiras e Exposições abre as portas à 352ª Feira de São Martinho, o mais antigo evento popular que se realiza em Portimão e que remonta a 1662. Neste que é um dos pólos in- contornáveis de animação outonal, o visitante poderá encon- trar os tradicionais expositores de produtos agro-alimentares, louça, plásticos, brinquedos, bijuteria, calçado, entre outras.

Ao ar livre está ainda disponível um espaço de animação, com tômbolas, jogos, pistas de carrinhos de choque e outros equipamentos que prometem fazer as delícias de crianças e adultos.

The Fairs and Exhibitions Salon opens its doors to the 352nd São Martinho’s Faire, the oldest event in Portimão, which dates back to 1662. A must-see event this autumn, where visitors can find the traditional stalls selling food and other produce, crockery, plastic items, toys, trinkets, footwear, and more.
