Foi com o incentivo de CG. Jung que a Dra. Kluger empreendeu a tarefa de interpretar a Epopéia de Gilgamesh, o mito épico mais antigo. Um clássico da literatura mundial, srcinou-se da cultura sumérico-babilônica, uma raiz vital da civilização ocidental moderna. Rica em imaginação poética e em conteúdo arquetípico, não perdeu o seu sentido para o homem moderno. Neste livro, baseado principalmente nos seminários da autora no Jung Instituto de Zurique, a Dra. Kluger trata do significado psicológico das aventuras fatalistas do rei-herói, desde a construção das muralhas das cidades até o "Noé Babilônico" em busca da imortalidade, empreendimento para o qual a sua perícia no campo da religião comparativa e na psicologia junguiana a qualificam de modo singular. RIVKAH SCHÀRF KLUGER, nasceu em 1907. Analisada por Jung, ela se tomou sua discípula e colaboradora, 6 lecionou no C. G. Jung Instituía de Zurique nas disciplinas de psicologia e religião. Como analista e erudita junguiana, ela proferiu conferências em toda a Europa e na América.
