4.4.4. Objetivos de aprendizagem (conhecimentos, aptidões e competências a desenvolver pelos estudantes): O objetivo de aprendizagem desta Unidade Curricular inclui a aprendizagem de um conjunto de leque de conhecimentos relacionados com a reabilitação dos animais após uma lesão e as diferentes formas de realizar fisioterapia das diferentes espécies animais, nomeadamente no que se refere à reabilitação óssea, articular, muscular, neurológica e mesmo cutânea.
4.4.4. Intended learning outcomes (knowledge, skills and competences to be developed by the students):
The learning objective of this course includes the learning of a range of knowledge related to the rehabilitation of animals after an injury and the different forms of physical therapy of the different animal species, in particular as regards bone, joint, muscular rehabilitation, neurological and even cutaneous.

1. O processo de cicatrização dos diferentes tipos de tecidos, em particular o tecido ósseo, o tecido articular, o tecido muscular, o tecido neurológico e o tecido tegumentar; 2. A importância da reabilitação do paciente para a sua
qualidade de vida e bem-estar; 3. De que formas se pode conseguir a reabilitação do paciente após a lesão; 4. As diferentes formas de aplicar a fisioterapia, em diferentes espécies animais, na reabilitação do paciente.

1. The healing process of different tissue types, in particular bone tissue, joint tissue, muscle tissue, neurological tissue and integument tissue; 2. The importance of patient rehabilitation for their quality of life and well-being; 3. In what ways can patient rehabilitation be achieved after injury? 4. The different ways of applying physiotherapy, in different animal species, in the rehabilitation of the patient.

Demonstração da coerência dos conteúdos programáticos com os objetivos de aprendizagem da unidade curricular: A demonstração da coerência entre os conteúdos programáticos desta unidade curricular e os respectivos objectivos de aprendizagem é feita pela aquisição por parte do estudante das seguintes competências:
1. Conhece o processo de cicatrização de diferentes tipos de tecidos; 2. Compreende a importância da reabilitação do animal no seu bem-estar;
3. Conhece diferentes formas de obter a reabilitação do paciente, após diferentes tipos de lesão;
4. Conhece de que forma a fisioterapia pode ser aplicada em pacientes de diferentes espécies, a fim de os reabilitar; 5. Executa ações de reabilitação e de fisioterapia aos pacientes, de acordo com o diagnóstico veterinário e o tratamento prescrito.
4.4.6. Evidence of the syllabus coherence with the curricular unit’s intended learning outcomes:
The demonstration of the coherence between the curricular contents of this curricular unit and the respective learning objectives is made by the acquisition by the student of the following competences:
1. Know the healing process of different tissue types;
2. Understands the importance of rehabilitating the animal in its well-being;
3. Know different ways to obtain patient rehabilitation after different types of injury;
4. Knows how physiotherapy can be applied to patients of different species in order to rehabilitate them;
5. Carry out rehabilitation and physiotherapy actions for the patients, according to the veterinary diagnosis and the prescribed treatment.
4.4.7. Metodologias de ensino (avaliação incluída):
Para a concretização dos objectivos da unidade curricular as metodologias de ensino assentam: 1. Na exposição pelo docente de conteúdos relacionados com os aspectos teóricos desta unidade curricular;
2. Na demonstração pelo docente de práticas relacionadas com a unidade curricular; 3. Na execução por parte dos alunos de práticas previamente demonstradas pelos docentes; 4. Na pesquisa bibliográfica orientada sobre alguns temas de interesse.
4.4.7. Teaching methodologies (including students' assessment):
In order to achieve the objectives of the curricular unit, the teaching methodologies are based on: 1. In the exposition by the teacher of contents related to the theoretical aspects of this unit curricular; 2. In the demonstration by the teacher of practices related to the curricular unit;
3. In the execution by the students of practices previously demonstrated by the teachers; 4. In bibliographic research oriented on some topics of interest.
A aplicação imediata dos conceitos teóricos em situações de prática, realizada em aulas teórico-práticas, facilita a sua consolidação, permitindo que o estudante interiorize conceitos e os relacione com as diferentes de lesão e patologia suscetível de ser reabilitada de diferentes formas, nomeadamente pela fisioterapia. Por outro lado, a avaliação contínua estimula no estudante um estudo contínuo dos conteúdos apresentados, o que facilita a aquisição de competências ao longo do semestre. A execução de procedimentos em contexto de aulas teórico-práticas, permite ainda o desenvolvimento da capacidade de reagir e tomar decisões na atividade profissional.
4.4.8. Evidence of the coherence between the teaching methodologies and the intended learning outcomes:
The immediate application of theoretical concepts in practical situations, carried out in theoretical-practical classes, facilitates their consolidation, allowing the student to internalize concepts and relate them to the different ones of injury and pathology susceptible of being rehabilitated in different ways, namely by physical therapy. On the other hand, the continuous evaluation encourages in the student a continuous study of the contents presented, which facilitates the acquisition of competences throughout the semester. The execution of procedures in the context of theoretical-practical classes also allows the development of the capacity to react and make decisions in the professional activity.
